I would like to know what is the most important thing in selecting child care? Is it because the location is close to home? Close to work? Cost? The environment? Please give me your thoughts.

I don't use child care, however, two of my employees both have small children and have talked about it some. They are both fairly new to town and they seem to be selecting based on availability first. Cost seems to be a huge issue as well. I think they are torn between quality care and what they can afford. Convenience of location is a consideration but not first.
My daughter ended up paying a little more to have a more interactive child care that was close to her work.
