Milestones of Preschooler

After reading 1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish, help your child create their own handprint fish. Place his hand, fingers together, on a piece of copy paper. After tracing his handprint, rotate the paper so that the handprint is horizontal with the thumb on top.  Now, he is ready to use markers and assorted art supplies to personalize his fish. For variety, you can help him make a fish bowl by cutting the top 1/3 off a paper plate. Paint the remaining part of the paper plate with corn syrup that has been tinted blue with food coloring. Help your child cut out his fish, and once the fish bowl is thoroughly dry, have him glue the fish onto the plate.  Now, he is ready to decorate the remaining part of the fish bowl.
