Summary
This Quality Training is designed to provide an interactive experience focused on enhancing the learning environment for children. The elements of the learning environment will be reviewed along with the framework for best practices. The training will explore room arrangement as a teaching strategy. Finally, this training will address how children learn and ways to incorporate children’s needs and interests into the learning environment. Technical Assistance is also available.
Who is eligible?
Any child care owner or staff member who is working at least 15 hours a week in a Wyoming licensed child care program is eligible.
What is offered?
For a $25 registration fee, each participant will receive a tool kit that includes a $40 gift certificate to Kaplan and the opportunity to receive a $10 refund by returning a completed portfolio within 90 days following the training.
Technical assistance regarding the learning environment will be provided to training participants. Five (5) hours of "Active Learning" STARS credit will be available for participation in this training.
