The Wyoming Explorers Club was created to help kids develop a sense of wonder about the beautiful world they live in and to nurture a healthy, outdoor lifestyle. Guided by the Explorers Club mascots, Chuck the Beaver and Pepper the Meadowlark, you and your little one will have so much fun exploring Wild Wyoming together!

Chuck the Beaver
Born in the Bridger-Teton National Forest near Pinedale, Chuck is an expert on rivers, wetlands and all things building-related. He is short, round and slow on the ground, but Chuck can carry heavy loads and swim as fast and gracefully as a fish. When he’s not exploring the towns and wilderness of Wyoming, Chuck likes to hang around the lodge with Mom and Pop Beaver, who teach all six of their children everything from beaver communication to finding good eats—not to mention the marvels of wood-and-mud engineering.

Pepper the Meadowlark
An accomplished flier, Pepper makes her home in the Thunder Basin National Grassland, but she prefers to take to the air and travel statewide whenever possible. Her keen eyesight helps her notice and remember Wyoming’s unique landmarks, special events and interesting people. Pepper also has a beautiful voice and she can often be heard calling to her prairie neighbors. Western Meadowlark families like Pepper’s make their nests on the ground and like to spend quality time together snacking on bugs, seeds and berries, as well as learning to fly.
